When, Why, and How to Fire That Customer
In the article, the author suggests that a firm may have customers it would benefit from “firing.” This thinking is very different from the idea that the customer is always right.
Discuss some firms for which this idea may not be as applicable and why you think so.
Suppose your Service Marketing Journal firm is considering the use of this strategy. Recommend a group of customers that the firm should consider “firing” and suggest some criteria that could be used to identify these customers. (Note: Think deeper than just “unprofitable” customers to things that may make them that way.)
